Betting against horses for profit by Henry McAnely is a logical
system which is straight forward and easy to operate although a little time consuming.Henry does offer a “shortcut” buy I am quite useless on the computer.That I can follow the system at all is a tribute to its logicality.When all your selections for the day are made I am left with the feeling that they are all
“worked for” and sure to be successful

I must have been doing something wrong! This is the worst laying system I have ever encountered and paper trading for two weeks in September resulted in a loss of 28 points.

I looked at what the results would have been if I had backed the selections. Level stakes would have produced +20 points and using the system staking plan would have produced +15 points.

I do not recommend this system at all……unless you back the selections!

I got a download of this system for free, with the Nov 4th Giveaway. Will try anthing (almost anything) once, but it returned enough winners to make it not worth the candle, so can understand why it was given away for nowt.
So don’t waste the half hour I did.

Let’s look at some of my data from my paper trial:

22/8/08 - 8/10/08 (47 days)

276 lay bets (~6/day)

System profit to BFSP & 5% commission: -58.6 pts

It is very volatile with big swings (at one point was -105pts to -30pts in 17 days) so it isn’t really suited to be a backing system either.

The profit figures on the web page are pure fantasy - you will not get a regular 20 pt/month profit from this!

About the only good thing to say about this system is that it is easy to use. It takes about 5 minutes to organise your picks for the day. Not much help if it loses you money though.

Not sure where to start with this as this is the first system I have felt compelled to give a review for. Not to bore you with an in-depth analysis let me describe it in one word,PHENOMINAL.

I have been using the system for a week(missed 1 days racing)and I am astounded with the results. I am showing a profit of 38.8 pts AFTER BETFAIR COMMISSION.

I do not know of any other system so simple yet so devastatingly effective

I’m a bit of a newbie to horse betting, I come from a financial trading background (still betting, but betting on money markets rather than horse!), so I hope this isn’t a silly question? But if people are saying this is a terrible laying system, would it not be a good idea to back the horses instead, and make money? Or am I missing something? In the finance language I understand, “if it’s a bad buying vehicle, it MUST be a good selling vehicle”.
